Peach Consultancy was commissioned by GLAD, the British Council for Disabled People and People First, to undertake a Pan-London mapping and evaluation to identify and consult with all London organisations working for the benefit of people with disabilities. The purpose of the project, funded by City Parochial Foundation, was to identify the support needs of, and sustainable support mechanisms for disability organisations, inform further investment in training, fundraising, partnership and other capacity building, and to assess the need for a dedicated resource centre for people with disabilities. The report entitled ‘A Pan-London Assessment of the Skills and Support Needs of Smaller Disability Organisations in London’, also included a special emphasis on the needs of black and minority ethnic communities.
