Who we are

Catherine Pearson, MBA

Established and led the first Healthwatch Lambeth charity (2013-2022). Catherine has extensive experience of managing and delivering successful capacity building, fundraising, partnership and research projects within the health, social care and community fields. Following several years fund-raising for a substance abuse charity, she worked for nine years at a national HIV charity, as Fundraising Director, and has raised over £50 million for VCS organisations over the last 20 years. She also established and headed up a new Research and Policy department at the charity London Lighthouse.

Since completing her MBA in 1998, Catherine has worked exclusively for Peach Consultancy on a wide range of voluntary sector, local authority, health authority and investment, management-support and programme development assignments, including 11 years of projects for Haringey Council.

A long-standing member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, she is also former Chair of Governors for a south London Primary School, and a former member of the major grants committee of Guys and St Thomas Hospital Charity.

Marcus Ward, LLB

Marcus is a highly experienced, innovative and accredited management consultant and former Charity CEO. Marcus originally studied law, and began his career in management and finance in the commercial sector, but then moved into senior management in the voluntary sector including CEO and Chair roles. For the last 25 years his consultancy has focused on governance, strategy, fundraising, finance, human resources and the interface between the voluntary and the statutory sectors.

Marcus is an approved consultant for the Lloyds Bank Foundation, MIND UK, Age UK and has delivered projects for funders including Comic Relief, the Heritage Lottery Fund, and Young Foundation; and for infrastructure bodies including NCVO, ACEVO, NAVCA and many local CVSs.

He is Treasurer of a local heritage and horticultural charity, and has been Chair of Consultants for Good for the last 5 years.
