What we do

Action for Stammering Children is the leading UK charity supporting children and young people who stammer, for their families, and the communities who support them. The organisation had very close ties with the Michael Palin Centre and our role was to provide a strategic review of the governance of that relationship, an analysis of the wider marketplace and recommendations for broadening the geographical scope of the charity and its funding. According to the Chair of the organisation we facilitated “a great step forward… I cannot believe how far we have come since we first met…incredible.”

The Spinal Injuries Association is the foremost organisation working with people affected by spinal cord injury, providing information, advocacy and wellbeing support. We undertook a National Lottery-funded comprehensive strategic review for the organisation over 2 months. The report contained a series of recommendations regarding management & structure, marketplace analysis, income generation and forward strategy. All our recommendations were accepted and implemented as the organisation moved from strength to strength.

Sussex Pathways is a criminal justice charity based in East Sussex, that works within prisons and communities with the aim of reducing offending behaviours;  and provides Through the Gate support and restorative justice programmes. Peach Consultancy successfully supported them to define a new comprehensive fundraising strategy, broaden their geographical coverage, diversify their income streams, work with new prisons, and widen their financial support from charitable foundations.

Working with ACEVO and funded by the Big Lottery, Peach Consultancy led the national UK training programme on Full Cost Analysis. This was a significant project over 4 years, training over 1500 local voluntary sector infrastructure staff across the UK. With the continued support of the IDeA the project was extended to work with 300 statutory commissioners. The project’s learning impact continues to this day with knowledge widely cascaded and disseminated throughout both the voluntary and statutory sectors. We continue the campaign in many of our current finance projects.

Peach Consultancy worked confidentially with a multi-agency partnership in the education sector, funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation E&W, to develop a unique new programme of collaborative support. Partners included local based charities, local and regional authorities, and infrastructure bodies. It was designed to deliver both practical and significant systems change impacts. We advised the lead agency on convening the partnership, provided expert advice on defining and negotiating an appropriate initial Memorandum of Understanding followed and supported by more detailed operational protocol. In addition we worked individually and collectively with all the partners to address their common and discrete cultures, barriers and challenges in successfully delivering the programme.
