Whether crisis-borne, strategically or financially challenged, the voluntary sector presents a unique set of challenges (and opportunities!)…and we love working within it! We like the people, the passion and the causes.

We get that the reduction in local and national statutory funding for the voluntary sector over the past decade, and the recent changes to funding strategy at many of the larger philanthropic foundations, continue to adversely affect both long standing organisations, as well as new initiatives designed to support communities (of both place and of interest).
Trustees, staff teams and volunteers are all under exceptional pressure to increase their workloads while managing real threats to their funding base. CEOs and senior managers can be squeezed between. Trustees and other volunteers struggle with balancing their engagement time and roles with their other work/life commitments.
