An evaluation of African Community Organisations delivering HIV Prevention within a community development framework’ .

This report included a review of the capacity and infrastructure of community providers of relatively small HIV prevention pilots to take forward more substantial initiatives with target communities. (As part of our on-going work to provide an independent monitoring function for the Joint Enfield & Haringey Community HIV Prevention Programme we have regular contact with a wide range of community groups including refugee groups, HIV advocacy workers, faith groups, women’s groups and African Community Organisations.

We feedback to commissioners information regarding skill gaps and knowledge needs and help co-ordinate training.  Recent examples include a new programme to develop better understanding of child protection guidelines and new ways to co-ordinate work with Faith groups.
