Peach Consultancy

Enfield & Haringey Health Authority (Project1)

Peach Consultancy has provided a VCS tendering, monitoring and research support service to the Joint Enfield & Haringey Independent Sector HIV Prevention programme since 1997.  Our work includes independent monitoring of voluntary organisations delivering sexual health and HIV prevention to targeted population groups in the London Boroughs of Enfield and Haringey. Stakeholders include refugee groups, HIV advocacy workers, faith groups, women’s groups and African Community Organisations, commissioned to distribute condoms and information, advocate for positive people and delivery community education to reduce the stigma and incidence of HIV and AIDS.

We have also been commissioned since 1999 to produce and deliver the ‘Annual Monitoring Report of the Enfield and Haringey Joint HIV Community Prevention Programme’ – a review of community health promotion activity provided by small groups working with African organisations’, on behalf of Haringey and Enfield Councils, and Haringey and Enfield PCTs.     The processes include a Compact compliant consultation reaching over 100 stakeholder groupings within the voluntary sector; HIV positive people living and working in the communities and HIV positive patients and service users and related health and social care professionals.  The resulting commissioning intentions were described as ‘sound’ by London HIV Prevention experts, the consultation processes and outcomes described as comprehensive by Haringey Council’s community consultation leader and the resulting tendering process described as a model of good practise by Haringey Council’s Compact Champion.
